Candace Ray- Director M/T/Th/F
Candace Ray was born and raised in the Portland area. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been a Preschool Director since 1998. Candace started as a preschool assistant when she was 16 and decided that children were her passion. During college she was a preschool teacher and was promoted to a director after graduating. Since 1998, she also has run a variety of summer camps for children ages preschool through middle school as a director. Candace is married with 4 children. Her youngest daughter is in high school. She keeps her busy with traveling for gymnastics, softball, and cheerleading. Her saying is her daughter is living her best life and I am her ride! Her hobbies include crafting and running Labella Designs jewelry company with her daughter.
Candace has been the Director at CCEP since August of 2011.
Domonique Knowles- Teacher W
Domonique previously worked as a caregiver for children and adults with developmental disabilities for over 10 years. During her time there, she learned the importance of adapting her teaching style to accommodate each individual’s needs.
She believes that preschool should be fun and make children excited about learning. She believes in using a child-centered approach by following the child’s lead in order to create a highly engaging and motivating learning environment for her students to thrive in.
Domonique was born and raised in Oregon City. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband and two-year- old daughter, Emelia.
